Almost six years after launch, Cyberpunk 2077 still has a healthy player base, especially<\/em> with a new anime spin-off driving people to the Night City source material. The second season of Edgerunners launched last week alongside a beefy update for Cyberpunk 2077<\/a>,\u00a0and unsurprisingly, PC player numbers have spiked.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, Cyberpunk 2077 player numbers had surged<\/a> to 187,215 players on PC via\u00a0Steam alone. That’s the biggest peak since October 2023, when the game received the substantial Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion. This new tick in players is likely being experienced on other PC platforms where the game is available (like GOG and the Epic Games Store), as well as on multiple consoles like PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.<\/p>\n
