{"id":610,"date":"2026-08-01T00:00:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T00:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aimoneylab.ai\/?p=610"},"modified":"2026-08-01T00:00:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T00:00:07","slug":"if-you-were-excited-about-stellar-blade-blood-rain-heres-an-ai-slop-music-video-to-fix-that","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aimoneylab.ai\/?p=610","title":{"rendered":"If You Were Excited About Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, Here\u2019s An AI-Slop Music Video To Fix That"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/games\/stellar-blade-blood-rain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stellar Blade: Blood Rain<\/a> is being promoted with an AI-slop music video created by developer Shift Up, and it&#8217;s all about as soulless as you might expect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5Ncuote9ADo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video<\/a>, which looks to be completely AI generated, features protagonist Evie singing an &#8220;original&#8221; song titled &#8220;Wanna be in Love&#8221; as she explores the dystopian cyberpunk city seen in the game&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/stellar-blade-follow-up-blood-rain-announced-trailer-has-some-eye-opening-moments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official announcement trailer<\/a> that debuted as part of Summer Games Fest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At one point while wandering the city, Evie picks up a KPop Demon Hunters keychain. Towards the end of the video, there is &#8220;behind the scenes footage&#8221; of Shift Up developers &#8220;on set&#8221; with Evie, giving her direction, doing her makeup, and high-fiving members of the team.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;Wanna be in LOVE&quot; Feat. Evie | Stellar Blade: BLOODRAIN\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5Ncuote9ADo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An entirely AI-generated video serving as the first major piece of marketing for the Stellar Blade sequel following its reveal is certainly a choice, though it&#8217;s more than a little concerning Shift Up somehow decided this was a good idea. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is, however, not all that surprising. Shift Up CEO and Stellar Blade director Hyung-tae Kim earlier this year said (as translated by <a href=\"https:\/\/automaton-media.com\/en\/news\/stellar-blade-director-says-using-ai-will-be-essential-for-competing-with-overwhelming-manpower-of-china-and-us-developers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Automaton<\/a>) during a South Korean &#8220;Economic Growth Strategy&#8221; briefing he believed AI to be an &#8220;essential tool for going up against large competitors like China on a global level.&#8221; He also said AI will not result in people losing their jobs, even though it will enable &#8220;one person&#8221; to perform the &#8220;work of 100 people.&#8221; South Korea as a whole is doubling down on AI, with the country set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-07-30\/korea-plans-14-billion-for-wealth-fund-s-ai-bets-after-rout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">invest nearly $14 billion<\/a> in AI and related infrastructure. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Stellar Blade franchise is no stranger to controversy, ranging from having to patch out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/sony-says-racist-phrase-in-stellar-blade-was-unintentional-will-be-patched-out\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unintentional racial slurs<\/a> to the culture war over the appearance of main character Eve and her revealing outfits in the first game. Stellar Blade: Blood Rain is proving to be no exception, with some criticizing the sexualization of Evie, who appears more childlike in appearance, even as Shift Up promises &#8220;more appealing&#8221; outfits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/shift-up-ceo-explains-design-of-stellar-blade-blood-rains-new-main-character\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IGN<\/a>, Kim was asked whether he was worried about using a younger-looking character for Blood Rain, and how that may be perceived by players. He said Evie is indeed younger and smaller in size than Eve, but largely dodged the question.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;If you actually play the game, you will not think that,&#8221; Kim said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stellar Blade: Blood Rain does not yet have a release date.
