Gundam Rogue Orbit<\/a> is a break from tradition for Bandai Namco, as new entries in the franchise typically debut as an anime series first, then as a line of collectible model kits. But this Gundam is arriving first as a video game–one that was shown in more detail today during the September PlayStation State of Play broadcast<\/a>. If you’re a Gundam fan, fret not, because at least one part of the traditional Gundam experience is being kept intact if<\/em> you buy the $160\u00a0Rogue Orbit collector’s edition.<\/p>\n

Like other special editions from Bandai Namco, Gundam Rogue Orbit combines a physical copy of the game with a few physical in-game goodies. It’s the inclusion of a High-Grade model kit based on the new Gundam Helix mobile suit\u00a0that could make this collector’s edition sought after, as it will be exclusive to the game. Gundam model kits aren’t usually hard to come by as Bandai Namco regularly keeps store shelves restocked with them, but the HG Helix model looks like a rare exception to that rule.<\/p>\n
